Our Story
FANGO was born in Puerto Rico in 2018 from a very personal need.
It all started with the search for a sunscreen that could be worn comfortably in a tropical climate without feeling heavy, greasy, or uncomfortable on the skin. After trying many options available on the market, a deeper curiosity emerged about the ingredients commonly used in sunscreens and personal care products.
During that journey, it became clear that many formulas contain ingredients that may not be ideal for some people with sensitive skin, and that there are also growing concerns about the impact certain ingredients can have on marine ecosystems.
What began as a personal search soon became a mission: to create a mineral-based alternative inspired by the Caribbean lifestyle.
And that is how FANGO was born.

Every batch of FANGO is handcrafted in small batches in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, a region surrounded by some of the most beautiful coastlines in the Caribbean.
Our surroundings inspire everything we do. The sun, the ocean, the beach, and adventure are part of our everyday life, and every product is developed with outdoor enthusiasts in mind.

That is why we create products using carefully selected ingredients, including non-nano zinc oxide and a blend of ingredients chosen to help keep skin feeling comfortable while enjoying time in the sun.
