Is FANGO sunscreen reef-safe?
Yes. Our mineral sunscreens are made with non-nano zinc oxide and contain no oxybenzone or octinoxate, the ingredients most often linked to coral reef damage.
What does "mineral sunscreen" mean?
Mineral sunscreen uses zinc oxide to sit on the surface of your skin and act as a physical barrier against UVA and UVB rays, rather than absorbing into the skin like chemical sunscreens.
How often should I reapply?
For best results, apply generously before sun exposure and reapply at least every 80 minutes, and always after swimming, sweating, or towel drying.
Is FANGO water resistant?
Yes. Our mineral sunscreens are water resistant for up to 80 minutes, so they are built for surf, sweat, and long beach days.
Is FANGO suitable for sensitive skin and kids?
Our unscented formulas are made with a short list of clean ingredients and are a great option for sensitive skin and little ones. As with any new product, we recommend a small patch test first.
Where is FANGO made?
Every FANGO product is handcrafted in small batches in Puerto Rico, born in the tropics and made for the world.
Does the tanning oil have SPF?
No. Our tanning oils are nourishing botanical blends with no SPF. Always apply sunscreen first if you need sun protection.
